Ingredients

2 cups fresh blueberries

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

Prepare the Skewers: If using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

Make the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, honey, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Whisk until well combined to form a spicy marinade.

Coat the Blueberries: Gently add the blueberries to the bowl with the marinade. Toss carefully to coat the blueberries without bursting them.

Assemble the Skewers: Thread the marinated blueberries onto the soaked bamboo skewers, leaving a little space between each berry for even cooking.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, heat it on the stovetop until hot.

Grill the Skewers: Place the blueberry skewers on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the blueberries are slightly charred and heated through.

Serve: Remove the skewers from the grill and let them cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and added freshness.

Enjoy: Serve the spicy blueberry skewers warm as a unique appetizer or dessert, and watch your guests be delightfully surprised by the sweet and spicy flavor combo!
