Ingredients

4 cups fresh apple cider

1 cup dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)

1 cup spiced rum

1/2 cup orange liqueur (like Cointreau or triple sec)

2 medium apples, cored and diced (choose a mix of sweet and tart, like Fuji and Granny Smith)

1 orange, sliced

1 cup pomegranate seeds

2-3 cinnamon sticks

3-4 whole cloves

2 star anise

1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

Club soda (for topping)

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large pitcher or bowl, combine the fresh apple cider, dry white wine, spiced rum, and orange liqueur. Stir well to combine.

Add the diced apples, sliced orange, and pomegranate seeds to the mixture. This will add a burst of flavor and color.

Toss in the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and star anise, allowing them to infuse their warm, spiced aromas into the sangria.

If you prefer a sweeter drink, stir in the maple syrup, adjusting to taste.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or up to overnight) to let the flavors meld beautifully.

When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the spiced apple cider sangria over the ice.

Top off each glass with a splash of club soda for some fizz and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Serve chilled and enjoy this delightful autumn-inspired drink!
