Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings, tips removed and split

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup minced garlic (about 8-10 cloves)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Wings: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This ensures they crisp up nicely later.

Melt the Butter and Garlic: In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Mix the Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic mixture with the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.

Coat the Wings: Add the chicken wings into the bowl with the sauce and toss until they are well coated.

Cook in Slow Cooker: Transfer the wings and all the sauce into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the wings are tender and fully cooked.

Crisp Up the Wings (Optional): For extra crispy wings, preheat your oven to broil. Once the wings are done in the slow cooker, carefully transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Broil in the oven for about 3-5 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of crispiness.

Serve: Remove from the oven and transfer the wings to a serving platter. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot.
