1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley), finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

2-3 tablespoons cold water

Optional: Sea salt for sprinkling on top

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper.

      Combine Butter and Cheese: In another bowl, stir together the softened butter and grated cheddar cheese until well combined.

        Blend Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter and cheese mixture. Use your hands or a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture is crumbly.

          Incorporate Herbs: Fold in the chopped fresh herbs, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

            Add Water: Slowly add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough holds together. Avoid making it too wet; the dough should be firm.

              Roll Out the Dough: Lightly flour your work surface and turn out the dough. Use a rolling pin to roll it out to about 1/8 inch thick.

                Cut Crackers: Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into squares or desired shapes. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cracker.

                  Sprinkle with Sea Salt: If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top of each cracker for added flavor.

                    Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy.

                      Cool: Remove from the oven and allow the crackers to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
