Ingredients

4 tilapia fillets

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

¼ cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Set Up the Breading Station: In another shallow dish, place the flour. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.

Coat the Fish: Take each tilapia fillet and dredge it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any extra egg to drip off. Finally, coat the fillet with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Bake the Fish: Place the coated tilapia fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Make the Garlic Butter: While the fish is baking, melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Serve: Once the tilapia is done, remove it from the oven and drizzle the garlic butter over each fillet. Optional: garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty finish.

Enjoy: Serve the Parmesan crusted tilapia warm alongside your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
