1 lb ground chicken

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 cup green bell pepper, diced

1 cup mushrooms, chopped

2-3 green chilis, minced (adjust for spice level)

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon fish sauce (optional)

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)

1 head of iceberg or butter lettuce, leaves separated

Chopped cilantro, for garnish

Sliced green onions, for garnish

Chopped peanuts (optional, for crunch)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ingredients: Start by washing and drying the lettuce leaves. Set aside. Chop all vegetables and prepare the ground chicken by having it at room temperature.

    Sauté the Aromatics: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, sautéing until translucent, about 3 minutes.
