Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Salt, to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/2-inch thick. Cut the dough into strips about 1-inch wide.

Knotting the Dough: Take each strip, stretch it slightly, and tie it into a knot. Tuck the ends underneath to secure them. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space in between each.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine.

Basting the Knots: Brush the knots generously with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring each knot is well-coated. Reserve some of the butter mixture for later use.

Bake the Knots: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and puffed up.

Add Parmesan and Parsley: Remove the knots from the oven and immediately brush them with the remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over all the knots, followed by the fresh parsley.

Serve: Allow the knots to cool for a few minutes before serving. These golden garlic Parmesan knots are perfect as an appetizer, side dish, or snack, and go wonderfully with marinara sauce for dipping!
