1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup sliced almonds

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Blanch the Green Beans: In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the trimmed green beans and cook for 3-5 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Drain the green beans and immediately plunge them into an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Drain again and set aside.
