Before you start assembling your skewers, the first critical step is rinsing and drying the grapes. Rinsing grapes under cold water not only removes any dirt or pesticide residues but also ensures that the yogurt coating sticks effectively. If your grapes are wet, the yogurt will slide right off, leading to a disappointing texture and presentation.

Ingredients

2 cups seedless grapes (any color you prefer)

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

1/4 cup crushed nuts (e.g., almonds, pistachios) or granola for garnishing

A pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Grapes: Rinse the grapes under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Make sure they are completely dry to ensure the yogurt adheres well.

Mix the Yogurt Dip: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract if using. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Skewer the Grapes: Take wooden skewers (or toothpicks for smaller bites) and thread the grapes onto them, leaving a little space between each grape for a better freeze.

Coat in Yogurt: Dip each skewer of grapes into the yogurt mixture, making sure the grapes are well-coated. Allow any excess yogurt to drip off.

Add Crunch: While the yogurt is still wet, sprinkle the crushed nuts or granola over the coated grapes for added texture and flavor. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt for contrast.

Freeze the Skewers: Arrange the skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place them in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until completely frozen.

Serve: Once frozen, remove the grape skewers from the freezer. You can serve them right away or keep them in a zip-lock bag in the freezer for a refreshing snack anytime!
