4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

1 cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme mix)

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

    Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and butter. Once hot, carefully add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Sear for about 5-6 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

      Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

        Add Liquids: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

          Incorporate Spinach and Herbs: Once simmering, add the chopped spinach and dried Italian herbs. Stir until the spinach wilts down into the sauce.
