Ingredients

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

2 cups cauliflower florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

2 tablespoons olive oil (optional for breadcrumb topping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Vegetables: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add broccoli and cauliflower florets, cooking for about 4-5 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Combine Vegetables and Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, add the drained broccoli and cauliflower. Pour the cheese sauce over the vegetables and toss gently until they're well coated.

Layer in Baking Dish: Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the vegetable mixture.

Prepare Breadcrumbs (Optional): If using breadcrumbs, combine them with olive oil in a small bowl until well mixed. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the cheese layer for added crunch.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Allow the bake to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy this cheesy, delicious dish as a side or a main!
